Helicopter Lands on Rock Pinnacle to Rescue Injured Runner

A search and rescue in a remote area of Utah resulted in a stunning rope and helicopter operation. On Aug. 16, at about 1730 hrs, a woman called the Washington County Sheriffs Office to report that her 49-year-old boyfriend had gone for a run in Snow Canyon State Park and had not returned. She also reported that her boyfriend had called her earlier in the day from his cell phone and said that he was almost out of water, and that he may have gotten turned around in the backcountry.
