TRADITIONALLY, corn prices have a bearish bias at this time of the harvest and generally reach a seasonal low in late October/early November. However, the weaker U.S. dollar and investors' desire to increase their commodity exposure have increased both aggregate open interest and the net large speculator position in corn, in alignment with moves in futures prices, said Luke Chandler, an analyst for Rabobank.
