CHINESE authorities seized operations at Shanghai Husi Food Co. — a member of Illinois-based OSI Group LLC — for allegedly selling expired chicken and beef to major fast-food restaurants throughout China, according to reports from Chinese media outlets.The Public Security Bureau and Food & Drug Administration in Shanghai, China, jointly are investigating after an undercover report by Shanghai-based Dragon TV revealed workers placing unused beef patties and defective chicken back onto the production line.According to the agencies, Shanghai Husi produced 5,108 crates of meat product using expired chicken and beef or moldy materials.
