Berthoud Raptor 5200

The Berthoud name is likely to be unfamiliar to many farmers, but the French company is well established in the European spraying market. The Raptor tested by Kondinin Group was brought into Australia in 2010 and has been used as a demonstration machine for the entire time. Dealer Norwood Agriculture is hoping to establish a market for the Berthoud self-propelled sprayer, and made the Raptor available so we could put it through its paces. While engineers were a little unsure of the colour scheme, the Berthoud performed quite well, with one of the better-performing 36m booms, and certainly warrants attention as a self-propelled option for prospective purchasers.
