Interest in grazing winter cereal crops is growing among mixed cropping and livestock farmers in low and medium rainfall zones of WA. Aside from production benefits, this strategy has the potential to help manage and reduce grain yield losses caused byspring frosts, which can hit farmers hard in these areas. The Grains Research and Development Corporation's (GRDC) Albany Port Zone Regional Cropping Solutions Network (RCSN) has identified frost as the main research priority issue for growers in this region.
