HOME-BRED dogs won both the qualifying trial and the double gather championship at the annual Deer play Hill trials, Lancashire, at the weekend. Star was bred by Richard in January 2001 out of Jemma and sired by his Wenndale Jim. After winning at Abbeystead in May this was her second open victory.
