There are two high-tech offices and two computer systems on a 350-acre Pembrokeshire dairy farm. One is attached to the farmhouse and the other, not quite so plush, lies alongside the dairy and milking parlour. Both, though, are in constant use as John Davies juggles the day-to-day responsibilities of milking 130 cows and an elected councillor with a high flying Cabinet post within the county-wide administration. His 'double' life also means making rapid changes from farm clothes to business suits as he moves from farm office to civic duties and the masses of electronic information flowing across his desk either at home or in County Hall. One of the authority's youngest councillors to be elected back in 1999, his abilities will be put to the test again in June and the outcome will not only determine his political future but also the way his farming activities move forward.
