You wait ages for a bus and then two come along at once, as the saying goes, and it felt that way in one particular week this month. The glass industry had been relatively quiet in terms of recent acquisitions but then, all of a sudden, there was a flurry of them. Usually, we'd report on several companies that were involved in the transactions but this time there was only one group which seemed to have gone into overdrive in its acquisition activity: Portugal's BA Vidro.
