Reflections on the fifteenth annual meeting of the collaborative family healthcare association: Broomfield, colorado

We write this reflection on the fifteenth annual CFHA meeting, "Disrupting Status Quo" as long time CFHA members and new editors of Families, Systems and Health. Randall Reitz, PhD, (conference co-chair) and the conference planning committee, took significant risks and reaped major rewards introducing new styles of plenary presentations. The opening plenary "Disrupting Stories" consisted of six "Pecha Kucha" style talks. This style of presentation comprises 20 images accompanied by 20 seconds of talk per image. The form was developed 10 years ago in Japan by a group of designers as a concise way to present their ideas with strong visual impact (http://www.pechakucha.org).
