Yair Wiesenfeld of Videx Machine Engineering Ltd., Yahud, Israel, says, "Videx extrusion machines allow extrusion of cold drawn and hot-rolled (scaled) bars from major diameter to pitch diameter, allowing thread rolling of the bars without having to peel or turn the scale. When extruding hot-rolled bars, the extrusion die breaks the scale and draws the bars to the pitch diameter, leaving a clean face that results in very good thread quality. The machines are equipped with automatic oiling that applies extrusion oil around the bars before the extrusion starts.
