Hermetic sealing and hot repair of silica crowns

摘要

Lubisol Engineering Co has developed a method for the hot repair and hermetic sealing of silica crowns,for application in the glass industry.The method was created after long studies and investigations on the mechanism of alkaline corrosion in silica crowns.As a result,Lubisol experts came to the conclusion that condensation corrosion can be reduced or totally eliminated by hermetic sealing of the silica crown,thus preventing the movement and passing of hot fuel gases through the crown joints.
