Festival of Britain, 1951-2011 The South Bank celebrates its jubilee year

A HEAD of the forthcoming Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2012, the South Bank is celebrating its own Diamond Jubilee. The whole of the ground floor of the Royal Festival Hall has been transformed into a museum bringing together a vibrant collection of memorabilia, artworks, personal histories, models and memories from the original Festival, including archival and a new film.
