Dried flower industry growing in Atlantic Canada

In Atlantic Canada there is an increase in outdoor flower production, particularly in flowers for drying. Despite a lack of market and production information, growers are starting smallfield flower operations. Many growers have started growing dried flowers for their own craft needs and to replace imported flowers. The most common flowers grown for drying in Atlantic Canada are helichrysum, larkspur, annual sta-tice, german statice, gomphrena and a variety of the grains and grasses.
