The National Guernsey Show in Sacramento was held on August 25 as I part of the California State Fair. Lee Majeskie of Maryland evaluated 52 entries. Faria Farms of Escalon, California, has been purchasing top animals to build their herd in recent years. It paid off on show day as they took home both rosettes in the heifer show. Lang Haven Tiller Nirvana-ET, a Tiller daughter of the current top CPI cow in the breed, was named Junior Champion after winning the Senior Calf class. Chupps Farm Jesus Destiny, a Senior Yearling, was named Reserve Junior Champion. She is sired by Knapps Royal Oak Jesus. Her granddam was a Unanimous Ail-American in 1998 as a Junior Calf.
