Buildings account for around 40% of the total CO2 produced in the European Union. Unfortunately, much space heating energy is lost through the poorly insulated building fabric of older buildings. Yet this problem also poses an opportunity for huge energy savings if such buildings can be retrofitted with adequate insulation. Here, with the help of the Vacuum Insulation Panel Association (VIPA), we focus on the emerging vacuum insulation panel (VIP) market.
