Cummins 3Q 2011 Net Income Jumps 60% vs. 3Q 2010

Cummins on October 25 reported that third-quarter 2011 net income jumped 60%, to US$452 million, compared with $283 million in third-quarter 2010. In third-quarter 2011, sales were $4.6 billion, up 36% from the same period last year, according to the company. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) in third-quar-ter 2011 rose to $640 million compared with $449 million in third-quarter 2010.
