Court Denies Texas' Delay Request for 2011 GHG Rules

A U.S. Court of Appeals rejected the request by the State of Texas to delay the imposition of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) greenhouse gas (GHG) rules – scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2011, according to a December 30 Reuters report. Texas officials sued the EPA to kill requirements to issue GHG permits which the EPA says is now mandated under the Clean Air Act.
