摘要

The correlation between longitudinal unit conductance (CL) and formation resistivity factor attempted by the authors is not understandable. Formation resistivity factor (F) is the ratio of bulk resistivity of the formation to the resistivity of the interstitial water in the formation, p_t/p_w = F whereas the longitudinal unit conductance is the ratio of the geoelectric layer thickness to its interpreted resistivity, h/p_t = CL. While F is dimensionless, CL has the dimension M~(-1)L~(-2)T~3I~2.
