Although California votes failed to pass the Proposition 10 bond measure last month, Energy Fuels Corp. unveiled the largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) production facility in the region. The company was started by T. Boone Pickens, the architect of the Proposition 10 measure, which would have utilized public funding to subsidize the build-up of compressed natural gas infrastructure in California, The California LNG Plant, located in Boron, was designed with an initial maximum production level of 160,000 gallons of LNG per day, but could be expanded to 240,000 gallons per day should demand increase.
