Natural gas liquids (NGL) prices increased the first week of December as they followed crude prices upward on a wave of stronger U.S. economic forecasts and Federal actions. Increased heating demand was also a factor in the price increase; however, the lone NGLt of all invalue this week at either hub was Mont Belvieu propane. This drop in price was due to higher inventory levels and lower demand due to warmer temperatures for much of the early heating season combined with less demand for crop drying with the corn harvest occurring early this year. The price of propane at Mont Belvieu fell 1% this past week to US$1.25 while the Conway price rose slightly to $1.21.
