The compositions of individual saturated and monoar-omatic hydrocarbons from West Siberian oils were studied. Geochemical parameters based on the composition of alkanes, isoprenoids, steranes, terpanes, and alkylben-zenes were calculated. It was shown that parameters based on the composition of alkylbenzenes can be used in geochemical studies separately or together with other parameters.
