Gas Natural 'urged' to remain in Union Fenosa Gas

Spanish power group Union Fenosa president, Pedro Lopez Jimnez on Thursday, urged Gas Natural to remain a 50% partner in Union Fenosa Gas, which is jointly owned with ENI. Gas Natural announced an agreement last July with ACS to purchase the construction group's 45.3% interest in Union Fenosa and to launch a 100% IPO for Spain's third-largest power group during the first half of 2009 following approval by the National Securities (CNMV) and the Spanish antitrust authority, CNC.
