Italy's Eni and Ascopiave ink cooperation deal for northern Italian electricity market

Italian energy companies Eni and Ascopiave Spa are to develop a partnership which will see them work together on domestic and small to medium sized business electricity sales in northern Italy following the signing of a letter of intent between the two, Eni said on Wednesday. Ascopiave's parent company Ascopiave Group is northeast Italy's main gas supplier and provides distribution capacity and physical gas through a variety of subsidiary and associated companies. In total, the subsidiary and its associated companies supply about 850,000 customers.
