Retained endoclip.

摘要

A 55-year-old man with autoimmune atrophic gastropathyand a history of EMR of a gastric carcinoid tumor underwent surveillance endoscopy. A biopsy specimen was obtained from the gastric fundus by using a standard forceps. This resulted in pulsatile arterial bleeding, which that was stopped by injection of a solution of epinephrine and application of two endoclips. At a surveillance endoscopy 6 months later, one endoclip was still in place. Because the patient was asymptomatic, no attempt was made to remove the attached endoclip.
