Analytical expressions for cross sections for deuteron-micleus diffraction interaction processes-nucleon stripping, diffraction disintegration and absorption of deuterons-are obtained within the potential three-body model. Dependence of the cross sections not only upon geometrical characteristics of the deuteron and the Woods-Saxon-like nucleon-nucleus potential but also upon the strength of the real and imaginary parts of the potential is investigated. It is shown that deuteron absorption suppresses the summed (noneikonal and nona-diabatic) nuclear correction to the total reaction cross section.
