Linde Wins 'Carbo-V' Gasification License for Finland BTL Project

Linde Engineering announced January 24 that it won a license deal for its "Carbo-V" biomass-gasification technology for the "Forest BtL Oy" project in Kemi, Finland. The project, due for start-up at the end of 2016, involves biomass gasification and Fischer-Tropsch (FT) synthesis, yielding FT diesel fuel and naphtha. "This first license agreement marks a significant step in the progress of licensing 'Carbo-V' after Linde purchased the technology [from Germany-based Choren] last year and consolidated it into its portfolio," said J?rg Linsenmaier, managing director of Linde Engineering Dresden.
