Air Products Nabs Hydrogen Contract for North West Redwater Refinery

Products announced October 24 that it won a contract to supply about 25 million standard cubic feet per day (MmSCF/D) of hydrogen for the under-construction, 50,000 barrel-per-day North West Redwater “Sturgeon” refinery project near Edmonton, Alberta. The “Sturgeon” refinery – targeting mainly ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) production – principally will rely upon its own, on-site gasification unit to make hydrogen (see DFN on 09/13/2013).
