摘要

A model of the atomic structure of an amorphous single-component substance in liquid or quenched glassy state was developed. The atomic structure of these substances was analyzed within the framework of the hard-sphere model characteristic of materials having a pair interatomic interaction potential. The classical Bernal polyhedron system was revised and a new polyhedron system, more substantiated topologically, was proposed. The relative portion of different polyhedrons in the liquid was estimated.
