Weber & Scher Mfg Co, Inc, specialises in the manufacture of longitudinal metal tape shielding/armouring systems, for producing power and telecom cables with a corrugated and longitudinally applied metal tape sheath construction. The systems consist of a number of key components. The metal tape supply system is a dual position machine which accommodates two tape pads, and includes an automatic tape tension compensation system to maintain the preset tape back tension constant throughout the build-down of the tape pad.
