This year, CEDIA (The Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association) Expo relocated from Brighton to Birmingham. Held at the ICC (International Conference Centre), the show looked more professional than ever, with many exhibitors taking advantage of the larger venue to create striking displays, ranging from lifestyle room sets to dedicated home cinema theatres. Despite some transport problems during the course of the show (no fast train service from London and air traffic control problems causing flight delays), attendance was up 3% on last year's event - 3097 visitors over the four days.. Over 1,500 delegates attended the range of CEDIA Expo seminars, which was an increase on last year's figures. "CEDIA Expo was indeed, bigger and better than ever before and with a growing body of international visitors, the event continues to build its reputation on the global stage," said Stephen Cough, chairman of CEDIA UK.
