摘要

EMERGENCY NURSES can prevent as well as treat knife crime, according to an emergency department (ED) nurse clinician in Liverpool.Rob Jackson, who is involved in the knife crime prevention programme run by Liverpool Youth Offending Sendee (YOS), has tried to deter up to 10,000 young people in the city from carrying knives by illustrating the potential consequences. The programme is part of a multiagency approach that is thought to have reduced knife crime in the city by more than one quarter over the past year.
