RWE kicks off Zidane-2

RWE Dea has spudded an appraisal well in a bid to unlock more reserves on the Zidane prospect in Production Licence 435 (PL 435) in the Norwegian Sea. The well is a follow up to the successful Zidane-1 exploration well, which encountered gas in a 150m (492ft) column in the Fangst group. It is being drilled with the West Alpha semi-submersible. RWE said it had kicked off the new well after evaluating development scenarios for the discovery.
