DONG's $1 Bn impairment

Denmark's DONG has reported that declining oil and gas prices resulted in post-tax impairments of US $1.01 Bn (Dkr 6.6 Bn). The company said that EBITDA was $2.52 Bn in 2014, compared with $2.30 Bn in 2013, and thus fulfilled outlook of an EBITDA above $2.46 Bn. "The increase in earnings came from the group's market-leading position within offshore wind and a record high production of oil and gas. The sharp decline in oil and gas prices however contributed negatively.
