US materials company Milliken launched a new non woven kenaf natural fibre reinforced polypropylene composite material at the JEC fair in April aimed at applications in automotive headliner substrates. The company says the Halo composite, which provides a material density of between 600-2,000g/m~3 according to the specific grade, could also be used in other automotive interior parts such as door panels, parcel shelves, seat backs and load floors.
