摘要

Polish oil company PKN Orlen and Lithuanian Railways have resolved a longrunning dispute over rail tariffs for transport of products from PKN’s 267,000 b/d Mazeikiai refinery in Lithuania. The agreement with the rail operator sets new “competitive” tariffs, the Polish company says. PKN had said repeatedly that high rail fees had negatively affected the economic viability of the export-oriented Mazeikiai refinery — Lithuania’s products market is small. Mazeikiai products are transported by rail from the plant to Lithuania’s Baltic Sea port of Klaipeda for export, as well as to Latvia, Estonia and Ukraine.
