GN shows tool-specific heater platens

Canada-based machine producer GN Thermoforming claims its new tool-specific heater is the first of its kind for contact-heat, cut-in-place thermoforming machines. The new platen system matches a tool to a particular area, so "instead of heating the whole plate, we're now heating dedicated areas, and the same goes for the forming air", says manager Jerome Romkey.
