Tokyo-based Polyplastics claims its new resin - Duranex 330GW - is the first PBT capable of meeting revised IEC 60335-1 glow wire test requirements.Demand for glow wire-resistant components has grown sharply in Europe and the US, but polybutylene terephfhalate (PBT) is usually considered incapable of complying with this standard, says Polyplastics.
