Smart has made a breakthrough in automotive front end design with the introduction of a practically all-plastic 40% glass fibre reinforced front end module.The company says that the part,which is used on the new forfour vehicle,allows a 30% lower investment cost,more than 10% weight saving and simpler production-including elimination of the need for corrosion protection.
