PP competes with PET

PET is Europe's fastest growing plastics material-due largely to its success in bottle blowing-but this has not stopped research into alternatives to PET bottles.The favoured replacement material is polypropylene(PP).And while PP bottles are common,they are rarely seen as a direct competitor to PET for three main reasons:they are too opaque;the preforms and bottles are produced much more slowly;and PP has a relatively narrow processing window.
