Denmark moves towards ban on four phthalates

Denmark looks set to ban four grades of phthalate on grounds that they are 'endocrine disruptors'. The move, to be introduced in the autumn, will see DEHP, DBP, DIBP and BBP proscribed. The proposal is more ad-vanced than European Un-ion plans - the EU will not be looking at moves against some phthalates before next spring.
