Thoughts on a systematic review and meta-analysis of adjuvant chemotherapy in muscle-invasive bladder cancer

The question of whether muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) is a systemic disease seems to continually plague physicians. Based on the poor survival rates of approximately 50%, neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemotherapy for patients is often recommended. However, the majority of clinical trials on adjuvant chemotherapy have closed early or have had small patient numbers and have never been able to make persuasive conclusions.
