Reliable rumours say that all major tyre makers are using recycled rubber in one form or another, though few are prepared to talk about it on the record. The question nowadays is how much they are using, and what types. Does the recycled material degrade performance properties, or will a simple modification of the cure package deliver identical properties to virgin compounds.
