Hanoi, Vietnam - The sharp drop in global natural rubber prices in the first nine months of the year has caused problems to Vietnamese rubber companies. But in stark contrast this price decrease has brought benefits to tire manufacturers. According to figures from the General Statistics Office, Vietnam exported $257m (?186.6m) worth of rubber in September 2013 at the low average export price of $2,245 (?1,630) per tonne.
