Indian tyre industry profiled in Indian analysts'report

TRUCK TYRES MAKE UP ONLY A QUARTER of the number of tyres sold in India,but 70 percent of the value,according to a report from India Infoline.However,it is the car tyre sector that is driving growth.Figures from Indian federation of tyre makers,ATMA,show that production of car tyres amounted to 14.26 million units in the 12 months to March 2007,while the equivalent figure for truck and bus tyres was 12.4 million.
