UK: Saint-Gobain Seals reports that its OmniSeal spring-energised seals have been qualified for various rotorhead sections in military helicopters. In some of the applications, loss of lubrication can cause catastrophic failures so that seals have to be able to be capable of dry running. The four approved seals are customised to meet such critical requirements.
