Nokian announces temporary layoff of 700 in car tyres

Nokia,Finland-Nokian Tyres agreed late November 2005 with labour representatives to temporarily lay off up to 700 production workers at its car-tyre plant in Nokia,Finland.Nokia said it wants to reduce inventory levels,following lower-than-predicted sales of tyres,while avoiding permanent dismissals.
