Throughout the K show this year, people were talking about 2-K moulding: the moulding of rubber or an elastomer over a plastic substrate in a single process. This has major advantages in cost and quality, provided the production run is long enough. A production machine from Billion can be used for 2-K moulding using plastics, lsr, tpe or thermoset rubber, said specialists with Billion, in interviews at the K2010 exhibition.
