Total global annual consumption of natural and synthetic elastomers will reach nearly 22 000 kilotonnes by 2010,with thermoplastic elastomer use forming 2260kt per annum of this figure.Thermoplastic aulcanisate use will rise to 610 ktpa,but have by far the highest growth rate,averaging 10 percent.
