Daikin to start FKM plant in France

Daikin Chemicals plant in France is due on stream in February 2004. Although the market is in over-supply, the company does not expect the extra capacity to lead to price reductions. Daikin foresees rapid take-up of product from its planned new fluoroelastomers (FKM) plant in France, despite current over-supply in the FKM market, according to Yasuhiko Hirai, president of Daikin Chemical Europe GmbH.
