Introduction Given its particular social significance connected with protecting the health and life of people and animals, food law is a branch of law that provides comprehensive, in-depth and detailed regulation of the marketing of any food product. What is also typical of food law is that most of its national regulations are subject to unification or harmonisation with EU law, extending the area of scientific study into EU law.
